Delivery and Shipping Information

We deliver Terrariums around the Wellington, Manawatu/Horowhenua region each Tuesday with our specialised courier.

DIY Kits and all other products (EXCLUDING TERRARIUMS) can be delivered nationwide and are dispatched from our home studio each Tuesday.

Please select which Tuesday you would like your goodies delivered/dispatched at checkout and the appropriate shipping option.

Terrariums can be delivered to:

Kapiti Coast up to Levin and Palmerston North City limits, right through the Hutt and Wainuiomata. We deliver to Wellington CBD and outer suburbs and all suburbs up to the Kapiti Coast. We deliver Tuesdays only because we are a small home based business. If you need it on another day please get in contact and we will do our best to help. Due to their fragile nature, they cannot be delivered outside of the Wellington/Manawatu region.

Feel free to send us a message if you are unsure if we deliver to your location and if you desperately need a delivery on a different day then we will always do our best to help you.

DELIVERY FEES AROUND WELLINGTON/HOROWHENUA/MANAWATU AREA FOR TERRARIUMS ONLY:

  • Between Palmerston North CBD & Kapiti Coast CBD, residential included- $20

  • Wellington Areas, residential included - $30

  • Orders for made up Terrariums, must be in by 9am Monday at the latest, for Tuesday delivery (we need a little notice to make each one)

  • Pick ups by arrangement from Foxton Beach

PLEASE NOTE - Our shipping fees are slightly higher because we are a small home based business, we put a lot of time and love into packing your products and this is the cheapest we can do it whilst still ensuring your products arrive safely. We have a highly trustworthy courier to deliver Terrariums as they are very fragile and we believe this is worth the extra few dollars. Thanks so much for your understanding.

DELIVERY FEES FOR NEW ZEALAND WIDE SHIPPING

  • North Island Delivery flat fee $15 per order.

  • South Island delivery $23 flat fee per order.

  • Rural shipping $19 flat rate for the North Island and $27 for the South Island. Please make sure you select rural at checkout so we know to send it with the right courier and it can’t hurt to pop some extra delivery notes on there if your house is hard to find.

  • Shipping can take up to 5-7 working days from ordering. If ordered for Tuesday dispatch, your order will usually be there by the end of the week but please allow an extra couple of working days if you are rural or couriers are busy. Please contact us if you need your order there by a certain date and we can advise if this is possible.

PICKUP/CLICK & COLLECT FROM FOXTON BEACH

  • Terrariums and other products are available for pickup from our studio in Foxton BEACH, but only via appointment. At checkout please select the ‘Pickup’ option. Please contact us to arrange a time and we will provide you with the information. For more info visit our ‘Click and Collect’ page.

RETURNS/REFUNDS/DAMAGED ITEMS

  • If your order is damaged during delivery please take a photo of the damaged box and contact us as soon as possible. We will do what we can to resolve this for you. Please remember we do our absolute best to get things to you safely and we will do what we can to fix it, however sometimes these things happen.

  • If you are in Wellington and want to buy Terrarium Tools, DIY kits or Framed insects we can offer you the flat rate of $17 shipping as these are not as fragile as Terrariums. Please select this option at checkout.

My delivery hasn’t arrived,
what should I do?

Please send us a message and we will track your order and let you know as soon as possible when your order will be arriving. Please remember we are only able to offer Monday deliveries for Terrariums and Monday to Friday for New Zealand wide orders.

 

My order has arrived damaged in the post!!! What can I do?

Please be kind and remember that these things happen. Here at Jungle Botanics we care greatly about your happiness and will do whatever we can to fix this for you. Please take a photo of the damaged box and items and contact us as soon as you can so we can resolve it. This must be done within 5 working days of receiving your order, otherwise Jungle Botanics takes no responsibility for refunding or replacing your order.

My Terrarium has died.
Can I return it?

Jungle Botanics Terrariums are expertly created to make them as low maintenance as possible, however there are still living plants within and must be treated nicely to keep thriving. All Terrariums come with a care card to help you understand how to care for it. Unfortunately we are unable to offer refunds for Terrariums, however please take a photo and send us a message and we will do everything within out means to help you revive it.

 

I want to get something delivered to an apartment or business, what happens if the recipient isn’t there?

Please provide as much delivery information as you possibly can to help our couriers find the right person. Recipients phone numbers, a safe place to leave it if there is no one there or even an alternative address where you know there will be someone there to receive your order. Lets make this as stress free as possible!

I’ve changed my mind, can I return my purchase for a refund?

Please note that within our obligations under the Consumer Guarantees Act we do not offer product refunds or exchanges for change of mind. Of course if your product is damaged or faulty send us a message and we will do our best to resolve this for you.

 

What will the courier do if
no one is home?

If there’s no one there at the time of delivery we will leave your order in a safe place. Please advise us where you would like your order left to make sure there is no confusion.
The more information the better!

 
  • If you live outside the suburbs listed for delivery please get in touch and we will see what we can do in regards to getting a Terrarium to you.

  • Please make sure you provide us with the correct contact information and delivery address. We do not take any responsibility for products delivered to the wrong address that have gone missing. Of course if you have entered the wrong information get in touch with us as soon as you can and we will update it for you.

  • Make sure if your item has been damaged during that you take photos of the damaged box it came in and also the contents within. We need these to show to our courier so we can refund you or replace this item. You must do this within five days of receiving your order otherwise we are not obligated to resolve this.

  • We are unable at this stage to allow for specific times for deliveries. If you are worried about your delivery please provide as much information as you can including business names if applicable, alternative addresses should the recipient have gone home and contact phone numbers. Feel free to contact us to confirm this information.
